Son of Johannes Petersen and Anna Birgette Brandahl Vik, he married Agnes Gilbertson, was a farmer, lived at 275 E Sunny Sands Rd, Cathlamet, died in Columbia View Nursing Home of respiratory failure, CHF, pulmonary edema, asthma, COPD, CVA, and renal failure, per death certificate 146-92 22764, whose informant was Gilbert Vik of the same address. Buried Jun 25 1992.

Britanus K. Vik, 87, of Puget Island, died June 20, 1992, in Columbia View Nursing Home, Cathlamet, where he lived since suffering a stroke in 1984. He was born June 19, 1904, in Norway to John and Anna Vik.

He came to Minnesota in 1910, then to Puget Island in 1913. He was a carpenter, boat builder, dairy farmer, and commercial fisherman.

On Dec. 27, 1938, he married Agnes Gilbertson, who survives, with four sons, Bruce Vik of Seattle, Gilbert, Terry and Mark Vik of Puget Island; two brothers, Arthur Vik and Peter Vik of Puget Island; two grandchildren; one niece; several nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased are a granddaughter, Morgan, in 1977; a brother, Hesse; two sisters, Therese Carlson and Jacobina Shold.

Services will be at 1 pm Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Puget Island, with Pastor Norma Borgford officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
