Verona Lee Trease of Miami, OK passed away Wednesday November 14, 2012 at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw, OK. She was 82.
Mrs. Trease was born November 2, 1930 in Lexington Township, KS to Roy Lee and Ruth (Wright) Fox. She had lived in Miami since 1968 moving from Ashland, KS. She had worked at Glen Berry Garment Mfg, Co. in Commerce, OK and Outdoor Cap in Miami, OK.
She married Lilburn Leon Trease October 1, 1949. He preceded her in death June 15, 1986. She was also preceded by a daughter Rhonda Johnston December 19, 2005 and a brother Wendell Gene Fox.
Survivors include Son Greg Trease of Miami, OK 2 Daughters Regena Kramer and husband Jim of Ely, Iowa Jackie Munson and husband Max, Jr. of Commerce, OK 2 Sisters Claudette Hensley of Ashland, KS Virginia Abbott of Agra, KS 8 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Granddaughter
Funeral Services will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, OK. Pastor Bill Richey will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Pallbearers will be Randy Trease, Rick Trease, Steve Trease, Brent Trease, Mark Trease, Tony Luna, Benny Trease and Mike Trease. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, OK
