Oscar S. Jenson, 76, 1710 Fifth Ave. N.W., Minot, died Dec. 1, 1991, in a Minot health care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Darrel E. Saathoff officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, both of Minot. Visitation is ongoing at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Mr. Jenson was born March 28, 1915, at Minot, a son of Ingvold and Olga Jenson. He was raised and educated in Minot and married the former May McFarlen in Minot. He was employed by Minot Hide and Fur, Minot Rendering Plant and North Dakota State Highway Department as a laborer. He was then employed as a laborer by Porter Brothers in Minot for 25 years before he retired in 1978. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Loyal Order of the Moose and Senior Citizens, all of Minot.

He is survived by his wife; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Wes and Shirley, and Melvin, all of Minot, and Bill and Barbara, Mandan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vera and Erwln Wright, Minot, and Lorraine and Darell Olson, Grand Forks; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Sally Hanenberg, Auburn, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister ; and one daughter, Janice Werman. Pallbearers are Kenneth McFarlen, Calvin McFarlen and Donald McFarlen, Roy LaVern McFarlen, Leland Fitchner and Iver Johnson.
