He was the son of Felix William and Ethel (Jones) Abbay and married Margaret Carson - 28 Jan 1926 - Sumner Co., Tennessee. He later married Nettie Hunt - 29 Oct ?? - Franklin, Simpson Co., Kentucky. They divorced, and he later married Marie Harrison - 10 Feb 1940 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. His obituary follows:

Bill Abbay, 81, of Route 8, Fayetteville, died Friday in Lincoln Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

The funeral was Sunday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home. The Rev. William Shouse officiated, and burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Abbay was a native of Davidson County, son of the late Felix William and Ethel Abbay. He was a retired employee of the Tennessee Department of Revenue and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Harrison Abbay; and two daughters, Christine Abbay and Mrs. Annie Abbay Eaden, both of Nashville.
