He was born Feb. 14, 1925, in New Hope, AL, the son of the late Stacy Abner Sr. and Ruby (Reeves) Abner.
Mr. Abner was retired from Crossville Rubber Plant and was a member of the Pomona United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was stationed on the USS San Diego in Tokyo Harbor when the surrender of Japan occurred.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nelda Abner.
