Samuel Edward Abrant was born on
November 12, 1882 and passed away
on April 20, 1916 at the age of 33
years, 5 months and 6 days.
Although his friends knew Ed’s con-
dition was serious when he was taken
to the hospital last Friday to undergo
an operation for appendicitis, yet very
encouraging reports had been received
for a couple of days, and then the shock
when word was received of his death.
On April 22, 1913 he was married
to Amy E. Souders. The funeral
service was made even more sad
because of the fact that it came on
the anniversary of their wedding.
Samuel Edward Abrant was as honest
as the day is long. His friends and
business associates had absolute con-
fidence in his word. His life was full
of sunshine.
Funeral services were held in the
Methodist Episcopal church in Frank-
fort, Kansas with Reverend L.R. South
officiating assisted by Reverend G.M.
West.
