John F. Abrant passed away at 4:30
a.m. on Monday, December 19, 1904
at Cripple Creek, Colorado, he was
31 years, 8 months and 16 days of
age.
Last week his family had recieved
a telegram telling them that John
was serious sick with pneumonia
and fever. His mother, Mrs. Abrant
and brother Peter left by the first
train for his bedside. She sent a
telegram that John was doing better
and the following day sent another
telegram telling of his death.
John's remains were brought to
Frankfort, Kansas for funeral
services in the Presbyterian Church
at 10:00 on Friday morning with
Reverend R.A. Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery
