OBITUARY: Frankie W. Abbott - Crisfield - Frankie W. Abbott, 74, of Crisfield, a painter, died Tuesday in Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center in Salisbury of renal failure. Born on Deal Island, he was a son of the late Frank and Alice Taylor Abbott. A son, William Abbott, Crisfield, died in 1954. He was a member of Stanley Cochrane American Legion Post 16 and VFW Post 8274, both in Crisfield. Surviving are his wife, Jackie Sterling Abbott; four children, Joseph Abbott, Crisfield, David Abbott, Washington, Ronnie Abbott, Princess Anne, and Wenona Matthews, Marion Station; six stepchildren, Darryl Abbott, Peggy Jean Hickman, Crisfield, Kerry Abbott, Patrick Abbott, Hebron, Bruce Abbott, Fruitland, and Carol Childress, Princess Anne; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves six half-brothers, Albert Culbertson, James Abbott, Larry Abbott, Gordon Abbott, Jerry Lee Abbott, Crisfield, and Jackie Abbott, living in Florida; a half-sister, Rita Harris, Crisfield, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Bradshaw and Sons Funeral Home here with the Rev. Robert Daniels officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Wenona.
