Jonathan Cyril Abell (19) of Peachtree City, Georgia, was born on August 24, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia and passed away January 10, 2011. Jonathan was an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University where he was pursuing a major in Art. He graduated from McIntosh High School in Peachtree City in 2009. During high school and throughout his freshman year in college, he was employed by Smith and Davis Clothing, Fayetteville. He was an active member of St. Andrew's in the Pines Episcopal Church where he faithfully served as a lead crucifer in the acolyte ministry. Jonathan was a loving son and sibling. He was devoted to his younger brother, Collin. He was patient, caring and affectionate, especially toward his family. He was faithful to his friends. He had remarkable enthusiasm, and a passion for life. He had shining eyes and a bright smile. He loved wake boarding with friends in the summer at Lake Martin, and snowboarding in the western mountains with his brother in the winter. He always loved to sketch and draw. Jonathan is survived by his mother, Christina Asmus Abell, his brother, Collin Andrew Christian Abell, of Peachtree City, Georgia; his father, Dr. John Bruce Abell of Albany, Georgia; grandmother Sallie Mae Holman Bruchac of Montgomery, Alabama, and grandmother Lillian Abell Kidwell of Springfield, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Col. Grover Woodrow Asmus, USA, of Los Angeles, California, and grandfather James Cyril Abell of Springfield, Kentucky. Burial services were held January 17, 2011 at St. Andrew's in the Pines Episcopal Church. The Reverend Paul C. Elliott officiated.
