DIGHTON - Charles M. Allphin, 83, died
Oct. 11,1992, at Lane County Hospital,
Dighton.

He was born May 19, 1909, at
Holbrook, Ky., the son of the Rev.
I A.S. and Madie Sidebottom All-
phin. A Lane Country resident
since 1926, he was a farmer.

He was a member of the First
Christian Church, the Rotary Club,
past member of the church board,
past member of the Dighton City
Council, and he was a past member
of the Lane County Hospital Board,
all at Dighton.

On Sept. 5, 1937, he married E.
Marguerite Walter at Dighton. She
survives.

Other survivors include: a son,
Carl, Pueblo, Colo.; a daughter,
Maxine Ringleman, Cimarron; a
brother, Ben, Lee's Summit, Mo.; a
sister, Erma Rehg, St. Charles,Mo,; and
four grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 11:30:a.m. today
at the First Christian Church, Dighton, with
the Rev.Si1tarry Long presiding.
Memorials may be sent to the
Lane County Long Term Care Unit
care of Boomhower Funeral Home, Dighton.
