Mrs. Abby died Monday night at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, where she had been taken about 10 a. m. Monday, after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.
Survivors are two sons, Elmer Abby of Carmi and Marlin Abby of West Salem; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Cyril, Sylvan and Myrvin Woods, all of Ellery.
Born November 9, 1893 in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Mary Shepherd Woods.
She was married October 15, 1913 to John Abby, who preceded her in death November 17, 1965.
They resided on Route 15 west near the Ellery crossroads for many years, prior to moving to Albion in 1949.
Mrs. Abby was an active member of the Little Prairie Christian Church.
