He served in the US Army. After returning home from Japan he married Sarah (Betty), his wife of 65 years.
He moved his family to California where they have resided for 55 years.
Jim loved collecting and restoring antiques and spending time at the family cabin he built.
He is survived by his wife Betty; 7 children; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at Sierra View Mortuary on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11 a.m.
