Sumner D. Abbott, 70, died Wednesday at his home in North Sullivan, Maine following a short illness.
He was born June 30, 1898 at Franklin, Maine, the son of Moses and Vivian (Fickett) Abbott. He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his widow, Anna Abbott of North Sullivan, Maine; daughter, Pauline Hornbacker of Smyrna, Tennessee; three stepdaughters, two stepsons; grandchildren; and a half-sister.
Friends may call at Bragdon Funeral Home in Elisworth on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be at North Sullivan Church on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carlton Banbige officiating.
Burial will be in Blaisdell Cemetery.
