Newspaper article he states he was born in Usda, White Russia. He served 4 years in the Russian Army and 2 months in the USA at the end of WWI. He applied for citizenship in 1916 and took the Oath of Allegiance in 1919. He met his wife in 1927 when she came to Beckley to visit a sister (Irene FINK). They married on Thanksgiving Day 1927(Baltimore?)
