Born in Jumping Branch, West Virginia, December 21, 1916, he was the son of Frank and Alberta Plumbley Thompson.
David was a self-employed General Contractor after serving his country in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lola who passed away in 2004 and his son-in-law, Danny Tucker in 2009. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Harrison (Ike) and Donna Tucker, both of Orlando, FL; son, David Thompson (Edie) of Johns Island, SC; seven grandchildren, Danny, Karly, Amy, David, Amanda, Katie (Richard) and Jillianne; great-grandson, Track, and loving friends and family of W. Virginia.
Visitation for David will be held, March 1, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Baldwin Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel, Orlando, FL, with Funeral Services scheduled at 11:00 a.m., at the Pine Castle Chapel with committal services immediately following at Chapel Hill Cemetery where Military Services will be conducted.
