Ivy, a long time resident of Taos, passed away at the St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe. She was predeceased by her husband Bing Abbott, a well known builder and contractor in Taos; her parents James A. Davis and Mary Jane Senteney; son Louis Wilbur "Buck" Abbott; and daughter Mary Abbott Robinson.

Ivy was survived by sons: Oscar Abbott of Wilmington, California, Gene Abbott of Livingston Manor New York, and Robert Abbott of Taos; brothers: Wilbur Davis of Trinidad, Colorado and Marion Davis of Grass Valley, California; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ivy was active with the Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church.

In 1880, Trinidad, Colorado; Ivy was enumerated with her parents James & Mary Davis; brother Burr Davis; and paternal uncle William Davis (1880 Census).

Funeral services were on 19 Dec 1962. Burial was in the family plot in the Sierra Vista Cemetery with graveside rites by members of the local Eastern Star. Pallbearers: Louis Cottam, Elisha Randall, Arthur Lyckmen, Dr. R.G. Hollis, Tom Tarleton, and L.C. Blanchard. Honorary Pallbearers: A.C. Dowling, Doughbelly Price, Cecil Ross, Henry Koch, and Ernest Lyckmen.
