Helena, Nov. 2--James McWethey, aged 27 years, single, rancher of Canyon Creek, discharged 90 days ago after two years overseas, was today fatally shot in the hip when mistaken for a deer by James Best, a companion. The death of McWethey is the third fatal hunting accident near Helena in three weeks.
