Randall D. Harding, 55, of the 2700 block of Markham St., died Oct. 30, 2008, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from renal failure. A native of Portsmouth, he was the youngest son of Mrs. Mildred S. Harding of Portsmouth and the late Arthur M. Harding, Sr. He was an alumni of I.C. Norcom High School, Class of 1971, and attended Norfolk State University. He was a driver for Uniform Rental until his retirement on disability in 1997. He was an avid sports fan and kept up with all stats for baseball, football and basketball. Until his health declined, he enjoyed watching the games with anyone who would stop by. Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Shatonia Waddler of Virginia Beach; two sons, LeVar Harding of Portsmouth and Jamel Harding of Chesapeake; two brothers, Arthur Jr. (Marcella) of Norfolk and Preston Sr. (Millicent) of Chesapeake; five sisters, Valerie Brown (James) of Chesapeake, Lena Williams (the Rev. Leroy), Vanginette Benton (Michael) of Portsmouth, Karen Gulley (LaMarr) of Powder Springs, GA, and Crystal Patillo (Charles) of Cary, NC; three grandsons, A'Dante Harding of Virginia Beach, Keon and Kameron Harding of Portsmouth; two granddaughters, Zaporah and Zaria Waddler of Virginia Beach; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends. He was predeceased by his oldest brother, Eric Harding (Annie), formerly of Mitchellville, MD. A funeral will be held Monday at noon in Zion Bethel United Church of Christ. Dr. D.A. Peace, Sr. will officiate. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Corprew Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
