Mrs. Janie Rutledge, 57, died in a Ruston hospital Tuesday night. The body was removed by Peters Funeral Home to the residence of Mrs. Sally Thomas in Start Wednesday. The funeral will be held Thursday with the Rev. Deal officiating, the time as yet not determined.

Mrs. Rutledge leaves three daughters, Mrs. Frances Mathis, Mer Rouge, Mrs. Maudell Carr, Girard, and Mrs. Audrey Long, Bonita; two sons, A. D. Rutledge and Fred Rutledge, both of Lubbock, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Reta Hines, Rayville and Mrs. Sallie Thomas, Start, and a brother, Wesley Aaron, Oak Grove.
