Mrs. Hucks was born a daughter of the late Thomas Clayton Absher and Evelyn A. Barbour Brisson and was the wife of the late Coleman Lee Hucks. She was a charter member of Willow Springs United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Luther W. Brisson; one daughter, Annette Johnson; a son-in-law, Louis Metts; one great-grandchild, Sullivan Johnson; two brothers, and one sister. Surviving are one son, Freddie B. Hucks and his wife Opal; one daughter, Jan Metts Kyzer and her husband George; one sister, Selma Burdett; seven grandchildren, Michael L. Hucks, Martha M. Davis, Connie M. Purinton, Steven L. Metts, Joseph C. Johnson, Michelle Johnson and Matthew T. Johnson. Mrs. Hucks died at age 87 at Conway Medical Center.
