1 July 63; sent to Fort Delaware, Del, 5 July 63; Transferred to Hammond Gen. Hospital, 16 Nov 63; admitted for diarrhoea and double pneumonia on 21 Nov 63; sent to General Hospital 17 Mar 64 in exchange for Major John E. MULFORD of 3rd New York Infantry;
Paroled at Hammond U.S. General Hospital, Point Lookout, MD, and transferred for exchange, 17 Mar 64; captured at Petersburg, VA, 2 Apr 65; sent from City Point, VA, to Fort Delaware, DE, 4 Apr 65; released 7 May 65 from Fort Delaware where he signed the oath; returned home via Philadelphia.
He died 16 February 1928, aged 89.
