Dorothy May Hamby died at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains in Dodge City,KS. She was born to Samuel and Alena(Barker) Adams in McLouth,KS. At a young age, she moved with her parents to Elkhart,KS and graduated from high school. She married Robert Hamby during World War II at Liberal,Ks on June 7, 1942 at Hooker,Ok. and after the war they moved to Dodge City til her death. She worked for many years at the Ford County Treasurer's office. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Dr. Carol Hamby of Okla.City,Ok; Ronald and wife, Janie and daughter-in-law, Linda all of Wichita; grandchildren: Dr.Eric and Christine Hamby; their children, Nicholas and Nolan(Ella)Hamby, Dr.David Hamby(Jennifer)and their daughter,Emily, Lance Hamby,Ashley Money(Graham), Monica Baker,and Randy Elkins. She was preceded in death by her parents,Sisters, WIlma and Florence; brothers, Glenn,James and Ralph; husband,Bob, son Donald R. and grandaughter, Jill.
