Mrs. Alice Blondell Devlin Abbadusky, 63, of 612 N 1st St Monmouth died at 6 pm Thursday in Monmouth Community Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 16, 1922, in North Henderson, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas Andrew Devlin and Myrtle H. Hudson.
She attended schools in Alexis and Alpha.
On June 22, 1943, she married Forrest Edward Abbadusky in Kahoka, Missouri, and most of their married life was spent in Monmouth where they operated the Abbadusky Cafe from 1943 to 1956. She was a member of the North Henderson United Methodist Church and a past president of the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving with her husband are a son Rex Devlin Abbadusky, of Monmouth, two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Leatha Tyrrell of North Henderson, and two brothers Harold Devlin of Knoxville and Tommy Devlin of Oneida.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth with the Rev Thomas Smith pastor of the Four Square Gospel Church in Monmouth officiating. Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 pm today in the funeral home where VFW Auxiliary rites will be conducted at 8 pm.
Memorials may be made to the VFW building fund.
