He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony P. Acosta, Sr., of Baton Rouge, and his mother, Margueritte Himel Norwood of Himelaya Plantation in Lafourche Parish.
He is survived by his son, Kenny Acosta, and wife, Susan Acosta, of Central, La.; by three daughters, Jayne Bossley of Austin, TX, Meg Johnson, and husband, Jeff Johnson, of Baton Rouge, and Amanda Acosta, of Telluride, Co.; six grandchildren, Kalyca Acosta, Rachel Acosta, Bill "Zeke" Acosta, Pierce Bossley, Noel Johnson and Christian Johnson; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud and loved immensely. He lived each day of his life to the fullest and brought much joy and laughter to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Thanks to all of the wonderful staff at La. War Veterans Home in Jackson, La., with special appreciation to Mrs. Dawn Giroir, who gave him friendship, love and comfort and was surely his guardian angel here on earth.
Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, La. until service, with burial at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Port Hudson, La.
