Fred B. Bankston, 80, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013. He was a faithful Christian and member of Jersey Village Church of Christ.
Fred retired from the Houston Police Department as Deputy Chief.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Pauline Bankston; several nieces and nephews: Sharon Singleton, Jamie Harper and the Rollins family: Johnny, Bo, Fred and Tracy.
Visitation for Mr. Bankston will be on Monday, May 20, 2013, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks
Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, where funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M.
Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made in Fred Bankston's memory to Jersey Village Church of Christ Building Fund, 8810 Jones Road, Houston, Texas or to Memorial Church of Christ-SABC, 900 Echo Lane, Houston, Texas 77024.
