WINDSOR — Nita Fern Abel, 92, formerly of Windsor passed away at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday (May 28, 2013) at the Carrier Mills Nursing Center, Carrier Mills, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Findlay Christian Church with Rev. Richard Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in the Findlay Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are by Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.
She was born November 8, 1920 in Shelby County the daughter of John and Cora Mae (Niles) Scribner. She married Harold "Jug" Abel November 11, 1938 in St. Lois, Mo and he preceded her in death July 17, 2010.
She was a member of the Findlay Christian Church.
Surviving are her son, Sam Abel of Goloconda; grandchildren, Matthew Abel, Paul Abel and Nita Jo Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dean and sister, Vangie Love.
