Mrs. Hannah Ableman died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vinton Raphael at Barney, North Dakota, Wednesday, April 27, 1927 at the age of 85 years and 8 months.
Hannah Lydia Bauman was born at Newark, Ohio, August 27, 1841, moving with her parents to Monroe, Wisc., when a child. In 1859 she was united in marriage to Jacob W. Fawver and they had ten children. In the early '70's the family moved to Iowa. After the death of Mr. Fawver, she married G. L. Ableman of Fairbury in 1890. They lived north of Fairbury for many years in the Zion neighborhood.
After the death of Mr. Ableman, she lived in her home on D street until two years ago when her age and physical condition made it necessary for her to go live with her daughters.
The deceased is survived by two sisters, and one brother, four daughters, Mrs. Vinto Raphael of Barney, N. D.; Mrs. Charles D Biggerstaff, Denver; Mrs. Edward Wahl, Minneapolis and Miss Mary Fawver of Denver. There are 34 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ableman was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral services were held from the Rose chapel, Sunday afternoon with Rev. E. M. Furman officiating.
