Carrie Marie Abbott, 39, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 3:38 p.m. in Frankton, Indiana, after a courageous battle against stomach cancer.

She was the daughter of Jan W. and Sandra M. (Eastman) Bachman of Marion, Indiana. She was born in Seoul, Korea on January 2, 1974. She was brought to the United States through the Holt Foundation in 1976 to become an American citizen and a beloved daughter.

She graduated from Eastbrook High School in Grant County in 1992. Carrie was employed by the Marion Fabrication Division of GM and was a member of the UAW 977. She was working on her B.A. Degree from Concordia University through the GM plant. She was a member of LaFontaine Christian Church.

Carrie is also survived by her husband, James A. Abbott of Frankton; two children, Darianne E.M. Burnworth and Jacob A.W. Cromas both of Marion, Indiana; brothers, Jon A. Bachman (Denise) and Matthew W. Bachman (Kim) both of Marion, Indiana and Mark W. Bachman (Barbara) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandson, Alexander Ortega; and four nephews and two nieces.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the LaFontaine Christian Church, 207 Bruner Pike, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Rev. Jack St. John officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.
