Lyndon R. Abbott, age 76 of Washington, passed away at 2:05 AM on Monday at Washington Nursing Center after a long battle with cancer he fought since 1996.
He was born on April 7, 1935 in Washington to Bernard and Martha (Boyd) Abbott. He attended Glendale High School. He was a US Army Korean Era Veteran. He was a member of the Washington American Legion, Eagles Lodge, and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Aaron and Debbie Abbott of Washington; two daughters, Stephanie F. Abbott of Texas and Kyra Lynn Rose of Florida; two brothers, Caroldon 'Carp' Abbott of Lyons and Darrell (Stella) Abbott of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one grandchild; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Abbott.
A celebration of his life will be at 7:00 PM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 PM on Friday at the mortuary.
Burial will be at a later date in Veale Creek Cemetery.
