Ann Boaz Nelson, age 68, of 116 Mallard Lake Dr. Danville, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at her residence. She was born November 13, 1944 in Ridgeway, Va. to the late Joseph Aubrey Boaz and the late Catharine Trent Boaz. Mrs. Nelson was married to Malcolm "Mac" Nelson for 52 wonderful years who survives of the residence. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. Ann loved gardening and working with her beautiful flowers. She also loved and adored her pets. Mrs. Nelson retired from Pluma Knitting in Martinsville, Va.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons; Mark S. Nelson of Greensboro, N.C. and Derrick V. Nelson of Martinsville, Va: four sisters; Betty Spencer of Ridgeway, Va., Linda Fabrizio of High Point, N.C., Patsy Harris of Eden, N.C. and Myra Paschal of Reidsville, N.C.: one brother; Jimmy Boaz of Ridgeway, Va.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one sister Millie Abbott and one brother William Boaz.
The family will receive friends 7:00 pm. To 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at Norris Funeral Services, Inc. Martinsville Chapel, 1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, Va. 24115 and other times at the residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc. Martinsville Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park, 103 Clearview Dr., Martinsville, Va. 24112.
