Maxine Armes, age 82 of Westview, KY died Wednesday, 2-27-2013 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Kingswood, KY on 7-30-1930, the daughter of the late Frank Daniel and Flora Bessie Butler Shelton. She was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Sunday school teacher and former secretary and treasurer. Maxine was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, traveling, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Armes 2-5-2005. Maxine is survived by 3 children: Connie Hagan (Joe) of Atlanta, GA; Romona Payne (Keith Mattingly) of Hardinsburg, KY; Richard Armes (Lisa) of Whitesville, KY; 8 grandchildren: Bill and Bob Stewart, Bradley Payne, Betsy Critchelow, Kelsey and Hannah Armes, Michael Hagan and Karen Mullendore; 7 great grandchildren: Russell and Rylie Stewart, Skyler Stewart, Olivia Hagan, Ashton Mullendore, Jack & Kaden Payne; Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-3-2013 at 1PM with burial in the Cave Spring Cemetery. Visitation on Saturday, 3:30 - 8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM. Memorial contributions are requested to: Cave Spring Cemetery.
