Funeral services for Dennis Wayne Aaker, 56, of Dolliver will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville with Father Tom Nash officiating Interment will be held at Lincoln Township Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91 of Estherville. He died on Wednesday, March 20 at his home in Dolliver.

Visitation, Legion of Mary Rosary and a Parish Vigil Service were held Friday at the funeral home.

He was born on March 19, 1940 in McVille, N.D., the son of Ingvald and Eva (Bartlett) Aaker. He graduated from McHenry High School in McHenry, N.D. He then attended Aaker business college in Grand Forks, N.D. before entering the army. He was stationed in West Germany during his tour of duty. He was united in marriage to Sharon Jenrich in 1961 in Rockford, N.D. In 1963, the family moved to Washington state where he worked as a salesman for O'Brien's Furniture Store and Vans Furniture Store in Renson,Wash. In 1978 he moved to Dolliver and worked as a salesman for Draper Foods. He was united in marriage to Ann Phillips on August 12, 1978 in Dolliver.

He is survived by his wife, Ann of Dolliver; four sons, Kevin Aaker of Kent, Wash.; Steve Aaker of Kent Wash.; Chuck Phillips of Picatello, Idaho; Mike Phillips of Worthington, Minn.; one Daughter, Angela Aaker of Auburn, Wash. eight grandchildren; his mother Eva of Mandan, N.D.; three sisters, Judy White of Wichita, Kan.; Mrs Marvin (Maxine) Willows of Mandan, N.D.; Mrs. Ned (Cathy) Allen of Washington; and one brother, Roger Aaker of Bismarck, N.D.
