Mr. Abarr was a retired carpenter and millwright. He worked through Union Local No. 1445 in Topeka. He also was a military veteran.
He was born Dec. 23, 1936, in York, Neb., the son of Clyde and Helen Dobbins Abarr. He moved to Kissee Mills from Topeka 10 years ago.
He married Marsha Patterson on July 26, 2001, in Miami, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Holton Cemetery in Holton, Kan. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson, Mo.
