Wilbur Dekle Rountree, 92, Valdosta, Georgia, formerly of Peachtree City, died August 12, 2002. He was born February 3, 1910 in Adrian, GA, the son of the late Alonzo Manning and Hattie Rogers Rountree. He was an industrial engineer with various textile mills. A deacon and elder of several Presbyterian churches, he was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church, Valdosta. He was a member of the Valdosta Rotary Club and The Twelve Old Men's Club.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Redwine Rountree and a son, Parks Redwine Rountree. Survivors include his wife, Jean Redwine Davis Rountree, Valdosta; sons, W. Dekle and Donna J. Rountree Jr., Bluffton, South Carolina, Roger Reagan Rountree, Ashville, North Carolina; a daughter, Martha Rountree Strait, Villa Rica; a stepdaughter, Jane Hunter and Jack Bennett, Valdosta; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Lottie R. Aaron, Lyons.

Graveside services were at the Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville, with Rev. Dr. Sam Matthews officiating. Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, was in charge.
