John Selden Adamson III HPROA member, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. John lived to be 72 years, 6 months and 17 days old.
He joined the Houston Police Academy Class #25 on November 6, 1961. He completed Phase Down "C" on October 1, 2008, and was last assigned to the Community Affairs Command. During his career, he served in the Central Division, Juvenile Division, Major Offenders Division, Burglary and Theft Division, Fleet Unit, Personnel Division, Traffic/Accident Division, and Air Support Division. He retired with the rank of Captain.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Selden Adamson Jr. and Margie Duke Adamson. Survivors include his two daughters, Margie Adamson of Cypress; Evelyn Joslin and husband, Michael, of Cypress, their two sons; his step-daughter Donna Lewis and her husband, Tommy, of Fairfield, and their three children; Johnny's two sisters, Patsy Teague and husband, Tommy, of Sealy; Kathy Hodge and husband, James, of Houston, and their families.
