Walter Aaberg, 89, Crosby, passed away on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

His funeral service is at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at the Concordia Lutheran Church. The Revs. Rob Garton and Ron Dahle are officiating. Burial is to follow at the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation is from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at Stakston-Martin Funeral Home, Crosby.

Walter was born on Dec. 25, 1920, to Carl and Anna (Lund) Aaberg of Stady. He attended school at Lee #1 and Ambrose.

On Nov. 30, 1947, he married Lois Lee of Ambrose and resided on the family farm for 54 years before they moved to their present home in Crosby.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Aaberg; two brothers, Clarence and Curtis, two infant brothers, and two brother-in-laws, Reuban Neff and John Trenary.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; five children, Sharon (Jerry) Peterson, Dianne (Chuck) Erickson, Susan Welo and friend, Rory Sandvig, Darla (Scott) Hansen, Warren Aaberg and fiance Lyn Guenther; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Orlyn Neff, Sacramento, Calif., and Anna Mae Trenary, Atlanta.

The Stakston-Martin Funeral Home, Crosby, is in charge of arrangements.
