She was of the Christian faith. Frances & her husband owned & operated many businesses, such as Abbett's Place, Rawhide, Gamble Store, Gas Station & a few others.

Frances married William Abbett on June 21, 1941 in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1988. She was also preceded by her son, Ronnie Abbett on October 12, 1990 & 2 brothers & 2 sisters. Frances enjoyed spending time with her great-granddaughter's.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Glenda Simerly of Wathena; grandson, James (Lisa) Simerly of Savannah, Missouri; great-granddaughters, Hannah & Grace Simerly.
