Reta Virginia Holsinger Kuper, 96, of Bridgewater, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Bridgewater Home.

Reta was born in Timberville, Rockingham County, VA on June 17, 1917, the daughter of the late Oscar and Fannie Kline Holsinger.

In 1943, she married Earl C. Kuper, who preceded her in death in 1970.

She worked for 29 years in the cafeteria at Fairfax County Public Schools and had worked for the U.S. government for 7 years in the Pentagon. She was a member of the Bridgewater and Oakton, VA Church of the Brethren.

Reta is survived by a grandson, Josh Kuper; two step-grandchildren, Kevin and Kim Higgins; and great-granddaughter, Helen Kuper.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Kuper [1947-2004].

A memorial service will be held at the Lantz Chapel, Bridgewater, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, with the Reverends Wendell Eller and Debra Huffman officiating.
