Jens Aabel, a resident of Omaha since 1886, died at his home, 1718 North Twenty-fifth street Saturday night at 6:25 of infirmities incident to old age. Mr. Aabel was 65 years of age. His wife died in 1903.
For many years Mr. Aabel was a fish and cheese jobber at Thirteenth and Leavenworth streets. He was a member of the Danish Brotherhood No. 19. He was born in Aalborg, Denmark.
Mr. Aabel leaves five sons and one daughter, the latter being Mrs. George A. Brooks of Bazille Mills, Neb. The sons are James, a machinist on board a United States cruiser; Hans, grain inspector with the Omaha grain exchange; Arnold of Los Angeles; Paul of San Francisco and Henry of Omaha.
The funeral will be Tuesday morning from the late residence, interment being in Springwell cemetery.
