Married Rosella Todd on May 21, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa. Served in the Navy during World War II. Employed by Borg Warner in Rockford for 39 years, retiring as quality control supervisor. Member of Spring Creek Congregational Church, Shabbona Masonic Lodge #374 and Shabbona American Post #677. Survivors include wife of 60 years, Rosella, of Rockford two daughters, Beverly (A.J.) Velmers of Newburg, Mo., and Kathy (Greg) Zyvert of Chicago son, Gary (Kim) Aagesen of Parkville, Mo. six grandchildren, Steve (Lori) DePauw of Rockton, Kevin (Michelle) DePauw of Rockford, Chris Zyvert of Chicago, Dannaile (Jeremy) Flowers of Allenhurst, Ga., Nathan Aagesen of Gladston, Mo., and Lindsey Aagesen of Parkville five great-grandchildren, Bobi, Matthew, Dustie and Jimmie DePauw and Alexander Flowers and several nieces and nephews.
Services at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in Jacobson Funeral Home, 303 N. Illini, Shabbona. Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, in the funeral home, with Masonic service at 4:30. Memorial is being established. 11-25-2
