HAZEL JONES HEWITT,71, of Highway 343 N., died July 27, 1991, in a hospital. Mrs. Hewitt was born in Pasquotank County. She was a member of Geneva Baptist Church and the widow of Letson E. Hewitt. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret D. Eason of Elizabeth City and Debra H. Buchanan of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Jerome Doxey of Elizabeth City; three sisters, Mary Flora and Levert Jones Adams, both of Moyock, and Elvin Jones Coppersmith of New Bern; and five grandchildren.
