George Aberle
Sabetha-George Aberle, 86, Sabetha, died Saturday, Oct. 27, at a Sabetha nursing home, where he lived since Dec. 1, 1983.
Mr. Aberle farmed in the Albany community north of Sabetha most of his life.
He was born March 27, 1898, at Cloverdale, Ill., the son of John and Katherine Lauser Aberle. He came with his family to the Albany community in 1908 and attended the old Albany country school.
Mr. Aberle attended the Apostolic Christian Church at Sabetha.
He was married to Lydia Isabelle Stoller Sept. 21, 1921. She died April 4, 1967.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vera Baskett, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Leola Oldridge, Hiawatha, and Mrs. Ruth Harrison, Mesquite, Texas; three sons, Robert Aberle, Eldon Aberle and Gary Aberle, all of Sabetha; three sisters, Louise Aberle, Tillie Aberle and Mrs. Susie Brunner, all of Sabetha; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Christian Church here. Burial will be in Sabetha Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Monday at Popkess Mortuary here where memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Christian Home for the Aged Building Fund at Sabetha.
