Local physicians were surprised and grieved to learn of the sudden death, due to apoplexy, late Saturday night at Grayson, of Dr. O. A. Biggs, aged 52, a well known and highly regarded resident of Caldwell parish. Dr. Biggs enjoyed a wide acquaintance and large country practice in the region in which he was located. Up to a fortnight ago, he was in his usual health. At that time he was slightly indisposed but his condition was not regarded serious until his final seizure.

Dr. Biggs, a native of Louisiana, obtained his medical education and started practice in Arkansas, but returned to this state and located at Grayson about 20 years ago and has been steadily engaged in the practice of medicine ever since.

Surviving are his wife and three sons and one daughter. The sons are J. H. Biggs, associated with the management of the Columbia Drug Co.; O. A. Biggs, Jr., aged 17 years, living at home; Yeager Biggs, aged 12, also at home, and Miss Ethelyn Biggs, also making her home at the family residence, Grayson. Mrs. L. L. Yeager, of Lee avenue, this city is a sister and there are several brothers of Dr. Biggs residing in this part of the state.

The funeral was held this afternoon with burial in the cemetery at Grayson.
