D. 54th Pennsylvania Infantry July 4, 1864 Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant April 3, 1865; not mustered; discharged by General Order, May 31, 1865. As Sergeant.

He applied for pension as invalid October 11, 1863 app# 497, 380 from Grand Junction Colo. his widow Harriet E. Abbey applied for his pension on May 26, 1900 app# 719,807
states he served with PA. 54th Co. D.&M. also Co.B. 32nd PA. Inf.
