Ann Marie "Annie" Abeita, 7, passed away Sunday, March 11 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix.

Annie was born in Barstow, California on September 9, 1993, and came to Arizona when she was four years old. She in the first grade at Eagle Ridge Elementary School in Phoenix this year. She was a delightful child. She enjoyed life and some of her favorite things to do were drawing, reading, gardening, playing with her Barbies and spending time with her family. She enjoyed performing at the family Christmas party. She was very loving, smart and intelligent. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother; Shana L. A1cantera of Phoenix her father: Vincent Abeita of Barstow, California, her step-father; David V. Alcantera of Phoenix, her grandparents; Steve Brockwell of San Bernardino, California, Debie and Steve Gibson of Snowflake and Doris and Carl Soto of Barstow, California. She is also survived by her great-grandparents Sibyl Brockwell of Winslow, Peggy and Wayne Watkins of Heber and L.R. Abeita, Sr. of Barstow, California, as well as great-great grandparents Delbert and June Nichols of Snowflake.

Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2700 E. Galveston in Gilbert with concluding services and interment in the Snowflake Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. the same day.

Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
