Cleo Mae Simmons, 93, of Elk Point, South Dakota passed away at Prairie Estates Care Center on August 10, 2019.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elk Point with the Pastor Erik Olson officiating. Burial will be at Elk Point Cemetery in Elk Point, South Dakota.
She was born to Adolf and Myrtle (Rolfson) Aaberg on March 9, 1926 in Toronto, South Dakota.
Cleo married Wayne Simmons and to this union brought five children. Wayne passed away in 1996.
She is survived by her children; three daughters, Dawn Steckelberg of Elk Point, South Dakota; Brenda (Bob) Macherione of Eugene, Oregon; Gloria Altig of Portland, Oregon; two sons, Brian Simmons of Phoenix, Arizona; and Tom (Pam) Simmons of Helena, Montana; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cleo is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Eudell and a sister, Wanda.
