Mildred Elmira Webber was the daughter of Frank Blake Webber and Rose Nell Pitcher. She married Anthony Patrick Abbotoni on September 4, 1939 in Boothbay, Maine. Mildred and Anthony had 4 children.

Family of Tony and Mildred:

Mildred Elmira Webber Abbotoni, 87, passed away on Nov. 17 at Winship Green, Bath.

She was born Aug. 16, 1920, a daughter of Frank and Rose Pitcher Webber. She grew up and lived in the Midcoast area all her life. She was a graduate of Lincoln Academy, class of 1938. During WWII she worked at Bath Iron Works to help with the war effort.

She worked at many of the family businesses, including Med-o-mak Restaurant as a cook, and the family chicken hatchery. She also worked at Moody s Diner, Medomak Canning Company, and lastly, Sylvania where she worked for 25 years until retiring.

She was a very active member of the Charles C. Lilly American Legion Auxiliary. While a member of the Auxiliary, she helped host a tea for former Governor Muskie. She enjoyed papering and painting.

She was a very giving person and would help anyone in need. On Thanksgivings past, she would help deliver food to needy families in the area. She was a hard worker and her family was the important thing in her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony P. Abbotoni who died in 1998.

She is survived by sons, Louis F. Abbotoni and wife Paula of Damariscotta, and Michael Abbotoni and wife Lydia of Union; daughters, Rose Marie Wade and companion Tony Zaccadelli of Waldoboro, and Linda Miller and husband Gordon of Waldoboro; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., Nov. 23 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.

Graveside service 11 a.m., Sat., Nov. 24 at the German Protestant Cemetery, Waldoboro, with Pastor Rick Newell officiating.

Contributions may be made in Mildred s memory to the Medomak Valley Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1246, Waldoboro, ME 04572 or Waldoboro Public Library, P.O. Box 768, Waldoboro, ME 04572.
