Illinois State News - While crossing the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad tracks at Main Street in SANDWICH in a buggy, Mrs R C Cook and MRS SAMUEL ABBEY, were struck by the west-bound fast express.
Both were badly mangled and lived but a few minutes.
