Danny Roy Hamilton, 62, of Wardville, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa after a 25 day battle with complications from a brain aneurysm. Born April 13, 1951 in McAlester, Oklahoma the son of James Mack and Polly (Harrington) Hamilton. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1969. He received an associate's degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1971. He lived in the Kiowa area his whole life. Danny was married to Patricia Ann Smith on July 3, 1971 in Kiowa. He rodeoed professionally for many years and was the 1981 IRA World Champion Calf Roper. He was a roping stock producer for over 20 years, furnishing cattle for many youth, amateur, and professional rodeo associations across the United States. He was preceded in death by his father: James Mack Hamilton. A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Kiowa High School Auditorium with Bro. Joey Landsdale, Rev. Marty Brock, and Pastor Rob Pierce officiating. Interment will be at Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka.
