He was Veteran of World War II, serving the Army and Air Force. He was retired from the Tennessee Division of Forestry in July of 1986, with 18 years of service.
He loved to ride his Harley with his wife Pauline Marshall Abbott.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Washington Abbott and Ida Belle Wise Abbott, and brothers, James EscoToby Abbott, Ira Ernest Abbott.
Survivors include wife Pauline Marshall Abbott of Kingston, Tn daughters, Sandra Lynn Abbott Nabors and husband Donald Nabors of Kingston, Tn, Paulette Abbott Bowden and husband Robert Earl "Bobby" Bowden of Elba, Al.; son Lonnie Brian Abbott and wife Iva Galyon Abbott of Kingston, Tn, sister Geneva Louise Abbott Jenkins and husband John Kenneth Jenkins of Kingston, Tn, two grandsons Robert Theodore"Bobby" Bowden and Mark Allan Nabors of Kingston, TN. one granddaughter Jennifer Abbott of Kingston, Tn and nieces and nephews; and friends.
